Ukraine\u2019s Vladimir Zelensky, who met with Trump last weekend in Miami, has denied responsibility for the attack.<\/p>\n<p>The attempted assault was <em>\u201can act of terrorism aimed at derailing the negotiations, and not just President Putin personally,\u201d<\/em> Kremlin spokesman Dmitry said on Tuesday, while alluding to Zelensky\u2019s controversial Christmas address, in which the Ukrainian leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/629988-zelensky-christmas-threat-putin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> his and every Ukrainian citizen\u2019s wish for the holiday was death to <em>\u201chim\u201d<\/em> \u2013 understood to be Russia\u2019s leader.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis was directed against Trump, against President Trump\u2019s efforts to facilitate peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict,\u201d<\/em> he added. Putin informed Trump about the incident in a phone call on Monday, and the tone of their conversation proves that the Ukrainian <em>\u201cprovocation\u201d<\/em> could not undermine the trust built by the two presidents, according to Peskov.<\/p>\n<p>\n        <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/630206-trump-very-angry-ukraine\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n            <span>READ MORE: <\/span>Trump \u2018very angry\u2019 about Ukrainian attack on Putin\u2019s residence<br \/>\n        <\/a>\n    <\/p>\n<p>Trump said he was <em>\u201cvery angry\u201d<\/em> after hearing the news, recalling Zelensky\u2019s request for long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles, which he declined earlier this year.
