{"id":3494,"date":"2025-12-06T09:06:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T10:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youtubexyoutube.com\/?p=3494"},"modified":"2025-12-12T14:10:26","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T14:10:26","slug":"putin-aide-comments-on-kushners-role-in-ukraine-talks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youtubexyoutube.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/06\/putin-aide-comments-on-kushners-role-in-ukraine-talks\/","title":{"rendered":"Putin aide comments on Kushner\u2019s role in Ukraine talks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Donald Trump\u2019s son-in-law could play a key role in drafting a peace deal, Yury Ushakov has said<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>US President Donald Trump\u2019s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, could play a key role in drafting a Ukraine peace deal, top Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov has said following high-stakes Russia-US talks in Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>Kushner joined US special envoy Steve Witkoff in negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week which lasted five hours, and which centered on a US-backed proposal to end the Ukraine conflict.<\/p>\n<p>The initial 28-point version of the plan, which was leaked to the media last month, required Kiev to relinquish parts of Russia\u2019s Donbass region still under Ukrainian control, pledge not to join NATO, and cut the size of its armed forces.<\/p>\n<p>Moscow has since said it accepts some elements of the US proposal but rejects others, adding that a final compromise has not been reached yet and that <em>\u201cmuch work\u201d<\/em> remains on the text.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n        <span><strong>Read more<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<figure>\n            <img src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"RT composite.\" class=\"lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/youtubexyoutube.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/692ed9fc2030273e3b0a1f4a.jpg\"><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/628773-witkoff-moscow-talks-ukraine\/\">Witkoff in Moscow: Is Kiev still at the table or on the menu?<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin on Friday, Ushakov described the atmosphere at the Kremlin meeting as <em>\u201cconstructive and friendly,\u201d<\/em> noting that Putin has now met with Witkoff six times. <em>\u201cThey understand each other almost without words,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kushner\u2019s participation, Ushakov noted, <em>\u201cturned out to be very timely.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHe added an element of systematization\u2026 I personally believe that if a settlement is drafted on paper, then the one holding the pen, to a large extent, will be Mr. Kushner.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kushner, a real estate investor, served as a senior adviser in Trump\u2019s first administration, with a portfolio that included Middle East policy and domestic priorities.
