According to the agency, the group\u2019s founder, former Saratov regional lawmaker Vyacheslav Maltsev, acted as an intermediary between its members and Ukrainian handlers.<\/p>\n<p>The FSB alleges that the man posed as an employee of a logistics company to gain access to military cargoes. Artpodgotovka was designated a terrorist group in 2021, having previously been classified as extremist.<\/p>\n<p>Maltsev established Artpodgotovka in 2013 while active in regional politics in Saratov. Initially presented as an art club, it later developed into an opposition political movement. Maltsev gained followers by repeatedly claiming that a popular revolution would break out in November 2017.<br \/>Footage shared by investigators showed the suspect\u2019s Artpodgotovka membership card that identified him as a <em>\u201cmember of the revolution.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Maltsev fled Russia in 2017 and later received asylum in France.
