Stefanishina has denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky dismissed Stefanishina on Monday, several days after she said the Ukrainian leader had not asked her to resign as part of a wider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/642913-zelensky-announces-major-government-reshuffle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reshuffle<\/a> of the country\u2019s diplomatic corps. Media reports suggested that the anti-corruption investigation prompted the apparent reversal.<\/p>\n<p>NABU and SAPO were established under pressure from Ukraine\u2019s Western backers as largely independent bodies tasked with investigating high-level corruption.
